Polish Festival to bring taste of the old country to Roseville

The 27th annual Polish Festival will be from noon-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Polish American Club located at 327 Main Street, Roseville.

Hundreds of servings of potato pancakes and Polish pastries will be served, along with an assortment of other homemade Polish foods, including more than 5,000 pierogies (potato-cheese filled dumplings), 1,000 golabki (cabbage rolls) and 700 pounds of Polish kielbasa (sausage).

Entertainment will include the music of Chet Chwalik”s Polka Band, the Dave Chelini Duo and folk music by Kuzyni; plus performances by San Francisco’s Polish Lowiczanie dancers and Sacramento’s Ukrainian Sonechko and Veselka dancers. The Polish marketplace will be open for shopping, and games will be available for children.

Admission is free, but food prices vary.
