Poetry becomes alive and fun in Take Note Troupe's original theatrical production of "Poetic License" performed Feb. 16, 22, and 23 in Roseville.

Often relegated to dusty literature books, poetry becomes an entertaining, three-dimensional literary indulgence through the acting of the youth theatrical company TNT. The original play intends to shatter prejudices about poetry in a way that appeals to all ages from adults to young children.

"Poetic License" will be performed in five shows at the Roseville High School Theater at 601 Tiger Avenue, Roseville. Show times are 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturdays, Feb. 16 and 23 and 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22.

TNT is an award-winning theatrical company for youth ages 14-18. In the past three years, TNT has been awarded six first or second place awards in the nationally-recognized Utah Shakespearean Festival. In 2007, TNT received 10 Elly nominations and two Elly awards for theatrical excellence, including the award for best actress.
