MOMS Club aids resource center
Pizza event set for April 26
Date Published: April 2007
The Granite Bay and East Roseville MOMS Club is hosting a fundraiser to buy autism materials for the parent lending library of the Placer WarmLine Family Resource Center.
The event, held 5-9 p.m. April 26, is at Round Table Pizza on Sierra College Blvd. Round Table will donate a portion of the food and drink proceeds of those mentioning the fundraiser that evening. Bring this article in or just mention that you are there for the WarmLine benefit.
The MOMS Club will also be on hand selling raffle tickets to benefit the organization. Raffle prizes include gift certificates to Crush 29, TGI Friday, Qdoba and Jack in the Box. A family pass for four admissions to Explorit Science Center in Davis will also be one of the prizes.
WarmLine is a nonprofit organization that provides free help and resources to parents when their child is first diagnosed as having a special need. Because autism is on the rise (now affecting 1 in 100 kids) they are in desperate need of special books and DVDs to help parents facilitate communication with children having autism spectrum disorder.
The MOMS Club hopes to raise $300 at this event and is accepting donations of cash or prizes. Contact club President Kim Kranig at 783-4943 or kkranig@yahoo.com for more information. v
